Chamo studied textiles, then illustration at the Duperre School of Applied Arts in Paris. After this she studied visual communication at the Kunsthochschule-Berlin Weissensee. While living in Berlin, Chamo continued her illustration and embarked on her own brand of doll making. Chamo now lives in Paris and is represented by the agency Illustrissimo. She has produced work for Astrapi, Glow, Los Angeles Magazine, Regal, and many more. She also produces children’s books, notably ‘Signing ABC’, an alphabet book of sign-language, with Parisian publishers Thierry Magnier, and has also worked on a pop-up project for Gallimard. In May 2006, she founded L’Articho, an association of artists and illustrators, which exhibits regularly in Paris. See more of Chamo’s work at Illustrissimo.
